initial $10 dollar signup fee will apply.
We run a bi-monthly online auctions and you can bid at any stage between the
10 days of the auction, then the auction soft closing around 7pm on the 10th date.
To stop last minute bidding bots and sniping, auction closing times are extended
by 5 minutes if a bid is made in the last 5 minutes.
TO START BIDDING
We have designed the website to be intuitive and easy to use. When auctions
starts enter the maximum bid you’re willing to pay for a lot. You will only pay 1
increment above someone else’s maximum bid or the reserve price up to your
maximum bid. If bidding goes above your maximum bid, you will be alerted by
email. Please thoroughly inspect the images for bottle and box condition. Please
note that a buyer’s premium is charged at 12% (Including GST) on the hammer
price.

END OF AUCTION
Auctions start soft closing at 7pm on the 10th day of auction and will be
extended by 5 minutes if any bids have been entered in the last 5 minutes. This
process will continue until there are no more bids placed within the last 5
minutes.
WINNING AN AUCTION
If with your effort and good fortune you happen to be the winner of a lot, an
email will be sent out to you with the invoiced amount of said lot. Please note
12% buyer premium will apply (Including GST) please also note all breakdown will be
provided in form of an invoice. The winner will have 3 days to pay via both bank
transfer or credit card (credit card handling charge will apply). Failure in doing
so will result in incurring late payment charge of 3% of the total outstanding
amount being added to the final invoice. NZ Whisky Auction also reserve the right to
cancel the auction and or pursue legal actions for damaged incurred, further more
will also reserve the right to cancel said bidder’s membership.
SHIPPING AND INSURANCE
International shipping will be through DHL, said rates will vary based upon the
destination thus shipping cost information will be provided along with your
invoice upon winning the lot. Insurance with international shipping will be 3% of
the final hammer price which will also be clearly listed in the invoice provided.
NZ local shipping will be done through local courier and based upon location we
will provide shipping cost and insurance options upon winning a lot.
