Clynelish 2011 11 Year Old /Whisky Show

Clynelish is well-known for producing a distinctive style of single malt Scotch whisky, characterized by its waxy, fruity, and slightly maritime characteristics. It is a popular choice among whisky enthusiasts and is also a key component in several blends, most notably in Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve. The single malt expressions from Clynelish have gained a loyal following, with both official and independent bottlings contributing to its reputation as a high-quality distillery in the Scottish whisky industry.

This whisky was distilled in 2011 and aged in cask #800273 before being bottled by Elixir Distillers for the Whisky Show 2022 in London. Five exclusive bottlings were released at the Whisky Show, one Linkwood 2006 show bottling and four bottlings for the Whisky shows 2022 theme and series “From Grain to Green”. These come from Caol Ila, Ledaig, Imperial and Clynelish. The labels on these bottlings have been printed using heat sensitive ink, turning black when cold and colourful when heated

Originally known as Speciality Drinks, Elixir Distillers was established in 1999 as the independent bottling arm of The Whisky Exchange, which launched its online retail site the same year. Their first bottlings were under the Single Malts of Scotland label in 2005, followed by the Elements of Islay range and Port Askaig single malt brand in 2006 and 2009, respectively. The company was renamed Elixir Distillers as of 2017.
