Located in Wick, The Old Pulteney was built in 1826. The whiskies produced by Old Pulteney often exhibit a combination of fruity, malty, and briny flavours. They are celebrated for their complexity and balance, with a notable briny, salty tang reminiscent of the sea. This unique coastal influence is attributed to the maturation process and the use of ex-bourbon casks, which contribute to the whisky’s character. Old Pulteney offers a range of expressions, including non-age-statement releases and age-stated whiskies. Some of their notable releases include the Old Pulteney 12 Year Old and the limited edition Old Pulteney 17 Year Old, both of which have gained popularity among whisky enthusiasts.

This whisky was distilled in May 2008 and has been matured in a refill bourbon barrel before finishing in a fresh sherry butt for  31 months and bottling at 12 years old by Signatory Vintage .
