Located on the southern coast of Islay, an island in Scotland. Ardbeg whiskies are known for their intensely smoky and peaty character, which stems from the traditional production methods employed at the distillery. The malt used in Ardbeg’s whiskies is malted with peat, which imparts a distinctive smoky flavour during the drying process. The whiskies often feature complex layers of maritime, briny, and medicinal notes, with hints of citrus and chocolate.

This single cask was filled into first fill ex-Cote-Rotie wine barrel #2323 on 22nd August 2011 and bottled on 28th of July 2020, one of 304 bottles.
