ARDBEG Ardbog

ARDBEG Ardbog

Located on the southern coast of Islay, an island in Scotland. Ardbeg whiskies are known for their intensely smoky and peaty character, which stems from the traditional production methods employed at the distillery. The malt used in Ardbeg’s whiskies is malted with peat, which imparts a distinctive smoky flavour during the drying process. The whiskies often feature complex layers of maritime, briny, and medicinal notes, with hints of citrus and chocolate.

This was the annual Ardbeg limited release for 2013. It was launched, as always, at the Ardbeg Day during the Feis Ile festival on Islay. As well as at the distillery, it was also available at Ardbeg Embassies around the world.

Ardbog is a vatting of 10 year old Ardbeg matured in bourbon casks, with a ‘heart’ matured in Manzanilla sherry casks.
