The Hakushu Distillery, also known as Hakushu Distillery or Suntory Hakushu Distillery, is a renowned whisky distillery located in the Japanese Alps near the town of Hokuto in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It is part of the Suntory family, one of Japan’s most famous and respected whisky producers.

Established in 1973, the Hakushu Distillery is situated in a picturesque setting surrounded by lush forests and pristine water sources. The distillery’s location is considered to be a crucial factor in the creation of its unique whisky profile. The area’s water, which comes from the Ojira River, is known for its purity and mineral content, making it ideal for whisky production.
