ARDBEG 1990 Airigh Nam Beist 2008

ARDBEG 1990 Airigh Nam Beist 2008

Located on the southern coast of Islay, an island in Scotland. Ardbeg whiskies are known for their intensely smoky and peaty character, which stems from the traditional production methods employed at the distillery. The malt used in Ardbeg’s whiskies is malted with peat, which imparts a distinctive smoky flavour during the drying process. The whiskies often feature complex layers of maritime, briny, and medicinal notes, with hints of citrus and chocolate.

Ardbeg don’t release many vintages at all now, and the Airgh Nam Beist was one of the last, prior to the Galileo. Taking its name from the Gaelic meaning of “shelter” or pasture, this whisky was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2008.
